"With the home values going down, commissions going down, not having medical and retirement is making it harder to stay in the industry."

"The biggest suggestion I have is to stop making the offices smaller. As an agent, if I am in a different part of town, I need to be able to walk into a different office and do my work."

"Make sure there is another family income that is steady. Learn and practice marketin techniques. Be prepaired to put money back into your business for marketing and name recognition."

"I did not like the fact that evey rone I met and knew neede to be sold real estate. I did not like amount of money I had to spend for lead generation. I did not like the fact that you had to spend money to make money."

"Be yourself and be on time. Answer the questions truthful and honestly with a smile."

"That you are only paid my commissions and it is hard to budget the money on a month by month basis."

"Lower the E and O insurance during this slow period or have the payments be per transaction."

"People, positive energy, flexibility, respectfulness, fun, low stress, understanding bosses."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared to work with some really great people that will respect you but do expect you to work hard. Something I was feeling okay about but now not so much, is my yearly income is not even listed on the drop down chart. the lowest was 30K and I make 23.5K before taxes. so, that's bothersome but it definitely could be worse and IT IS WORSE OUT THERE. Trust me. This is a good place with a great group of understanding co-workers and management."

What don't you like about working at Coldwell Banker?

"As the receptionist, it is hard to find someone to relieve me when it is time for my scheduled breaks or if I am sick or if I want to take one of my earned PTO/vacation days. That can be really frustrating."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I honestly don't know... I'm not a running the show kind of girl but I would definitely figure out a way to help relieve the receptionist for breaks and PTO/vacation days so that it wouldn't be so stressful when the receptionist needed to use the restroom or take an earned PTO day."

"The family-like atmosphere, the flexibility, and the hours."

"Micromanagement, lack of proper equipment, minimal pay."

"Be more helpful to employees / agents. Be willing to spend money when necessary."
