"Terrible, I would not ever work for this company again."

What do you like about working at Dish Network?

"I liked the job I was doing, it gave me a reason to further myself."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Honestly I would not want my dog working for this company, but if you are in a pinch... Do a little research on the company to see what they came up with first and mention this during the interview. This will let the interviewer know that you are actually interested in the company and what they have done in the and for industry."

What don't you like about working at Dish Network?

"1. They don't take sexual harassment seriously. 2. They hire favorites / family members in to management as direct reports (well at least one does). 3. They put people in positions they don't have the education for (engineer for someone that didn't even finish school let alone college). 4. Rules don't apply to management as they apply to other workers (managers playing on the internet (Facebook)). 5. People in positions they don't have the education for. (No one is going to take an engineer seriously if he can't spell past a 3rd grade level.) 6. If you hold a position of leadership and get hurt, management will offer your job to a coworker for good. 7. They don't like giving promotions to people that know their jobs, this goes to the favorites. 8. Security is not there to protect you, only smart cards. 9. They have cameras in the parking lot, but can not catch someone stealing cars from the parking lot, but if anything sexual is going on they record it.10. Need I say more..."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep your promises. Do NOT make friends or favorites with employees. Rules should apply to everyone, not just workers. Do not hire relatives as direct reports. Take employee complaints serious. Keep it professional at all times while working (this is pointed toward people that jump on workers in front of peers). Stand up for people you are appointed over instead of throwing them under the bus. Don't steal employee ideas as your own. (stealing is wrong, remember Mr. Christian man.(not all Christians are like this I know, just poking at someone)). Don't micro manage, give your workers some leeway they will surprise you with what they come up with to the finish the job. For the sake of the workers you are appointed over make sure you know a little about the job so you can offer to help if something goes wrong. If you don't, try to make a conscious effort to lean a little about the job. 90% of the supervisors could not run a test bench and get satisfactory production. Come up with a training program for ALL jobs that you offer at your company."

"Company does not fullfil what they promise."

What do you like about working at Dish Network?

"Hard work but meeting new people and learning new methods."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Investigate company. Not what was promised. Work hours are long and usually don't make the 40 in a week. Incentives are hard to achieve with ethical methods."

What don't you like about working at Dish Network?

"Unrealistic goals to meet. Unfair and what they offer is not what you receive."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to lower level. They will tell you what would work best. Test your products fully before you introduce them to public."

"Worst company in America."

What do you like about working at Dish Network?

"Nothing at all. It's been the worst experience of my life. I thought I had jobs I disliked before but I never dreamed there could be such a horrific place in modern America."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Yes. Don't interview with them. Please. There is not a single happy employee at my location which employs several hundred people. Please, please don't believe what Dish says about itself or the excessively happy reviews written by fake employees. This job is like jail. You must ask permission to use the restroom, you will be screamed at for the most minor infraction, you will get no credit for all the good you do, you will be treated like one of many other numbers in a large machine, you will feel like every effort you give is eagerly accepted, never remembered and they always want more but will never reward you for it or give anything back. Work anywhere but Dish. If you value yourself, your family or anything at all, work somewhere else."

What don't you like about working at Dish Network?

"The company is constantly looking to take from you at every level, from pay to time to forced overtime of 20+ hours that allows absolutely no additional breaks or lunches allowed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Follow your own principles of pride, adventure and winning. Treat your staff like you actually want to retain them. Give to your staff the way they give to you. Stop trying to take every penny you can from your customers and your employees and maybe you'll rise above the title of worst company to work for in America."

What don't you like about working at Dish Network?

"Management distrusts each other and assumes the worst about their employees."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treated as disposable."

What do you like about working at Dish Network?

"Discounted tv service, some flexibility with time off and overtime."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Skip it. You can ask questions, they will lie. Mow lawns, rake leaves, shovel snow..."

What don't you like about working at Dish Network?

"Yes-sir culture. No one is allowed to ask questions or propose better ways of working. Criticism is predictably punished by dismissal or pay cut. Employees not treated as human beings. 14-20 hrs worth of work given to do every day, we're left to figure out what corners to cut. So many safety rules, cannot all possibly be followed. When safety rules do conflict with productivity management demands ignoring rules. Claims of promotion from within false."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Unemployment. There is only so much you can squeeze. At some point you spend more money trying to be cheap than you save by it. This line was crossed long ago."
