"I really love the potential (no pun intended) of working in electrical engineering. I like to be able to take my skills from work home and create my own devices to play with. I plan on customizing my house with homemade devices to integrate the whole house to my needs. The only downside so far is when looking for work, companies want an exact fit walking in the door. The expectation to know how to use their version of industry software, or to know multiple job roles to save money."

"The ceiling for someone in my typical position is quite low. My interests span not only algorithm design and software coding, but I like hands on construction/fabrication of things which I don't often get to do. Research is great. Every day I learn something new and hone my skills with exercising critical thinking and my strengths in math and visual thinking. I get to listen to music as a job!"
