"I worked for GE Aviation for over two years and was astounded by the expertise in every area of engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, digital technology, and management. "The only good reviews given for this location, is from people in upper management."
"It is a decent place to work, free parking on site, some of it is even covered. The buildings are horrible and in need of desperate repair, the ceiling rains when it rains outside. The plant could use some maintenance and some love. But the excitement of the new jet engines for military use is real."
"I have worked with the company for 10 years and it is time to new domain and technologies ."

"Very good culture and open communicative environment. Sometimes things get lost in email chains but as a whole, very supportive of their employees."
"Great company. Great benefits."
"I have worked at GE since May of 2012. It is a great company."
"As a long term employee I have seen the cycle of good and bad. The issues today are that GE continues to reduce the size of GE Capital yet business and regulatory requirements continue to grow. While there may be opportunities to advance they are very few and tend to go to only those in Norwalk, CT. The other issue is most new sites tend to be in downtrodden cities, i.e., places you don't really want to move to. Also with reduced staffing the workloads in certain functions can be overwhelming so you really have to understand how the business operates and the speed to be able to prioritize on a daily basis. That said, there are plenty of interesting challenges to deal with or address. It can be a good place to work for those that can deal with volume and change but it used to be great."
