"I have worked for HostGator for over a year now. They set very high goals for the agents working there and have high expectations of us in regards to customer opinion. The minimum standard is no less than 5 calls per hour or to take no less than 5 chats at a time. You have up to 3 minutes to reply to a customer in a chat. You cannot keep a customer call on hold for more than 2 minutes while working to resolve their issues. 90% of the customers in a call or a chat must be satisfied."
"HostGator is great company to start off your Linux System Administrator career. You will learn a lot in a short time. However, if you are not a fast learner then this job is not for you. You will only have 90 days to get your feet wet. You need to quickly learn the environment, normal processes, and how to quickly pump out tickets. Your performance is measured in how many tickets you can get out the door. But, there is also a rating system so you must be careful not to send out fluff responses."

"If you expect to work for this company you will be expected to actually do work. The churn rate is high but if you can handle working 40 hours a week it's a fun place. Company was recently purchase by a private equity firm but they are insisting that the brand will not be folded-in and will continue to operate independently and cooperatively with the parent company. Pay is a little below par for the industry but they do feed you. Catering is done for all shifts."
