What do you like about working at The Kroger Co.?

"NothingI applied because they're the No. 1 Grocer and the the sweet recruiter promised be a boat load of cash"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"You'll be meeting with a District Recruiter for your hourly job, the fact they use a recruiter system is a bad omen and betrays that the work environment and management are hostile. If the recruiter tries to push you into a position/pay-grade you don't want, end the interview and move on to the next company, Kroger wants part-time slaves and they'll screw you over to get what they need. Their turnover rate is frightening, and too many new hires leave after only weeks on the job.If the recruiter puts money on the table, based on your experience you'll make 9.90/h part-time. The recruiter doesn't have the authority to give you that money and they will work you for weeks at minimum wage, and give you the runaround about wage adjustment."

What don't you like about working at The Kroger Co.?

"The runaround with my wage adjustment, I hired on the condition of 12.80/h, I should make that from day one , not have 2 weeks of processing approval while making only 7.50/hThe inventory system Kroger currently uses is a mess, 5 years ago they did away with an industry standard inventory system to cut costs and their stupidity shows in spades, inventory errors are rampant now and employee workload has effectively doubled."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Salaried need people skills, they don't know how to non-hostilely engage employees, and blunt management styles are driving down employee morale in an already overstressed environment, which increases the likelihood of a problem occurring."
