"Would listen to employees, give them a happier/healthier work environment."

"Being a full time student, receiving the deans list award three times, was an excellent experience. Research on encryption was exciting."

"A research and education environment is quite different than a corporate one. The individual must be academically motivated to achieve a goal. Goal setting is a must. You must be a self starter."

What don't you like about working at New York University?

"I like a private lab environment when coding and researching. The lab I was working in was open to all students."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Provide better food onsite along with quite labs. As well the laboratory must be open twenty four hours. Sometimes the development tools were lacking."

"I like that you can come up with an idea and and it can be implemented in a short period of time."

"Utilize the perks but don't automatically buy into the vision."

"The people in my department are often useless, lack vision and inspiration, and care too much about things that shouldn't matter."

"I would create a mission, focus more on lowering costs and increasing financial aid, and I would work to diversify the student body domestically."

"Sometimes cannot get enough guidance from supervisor. Maybe set up mim supervisor-student meeting hours."

"It's a large institution and operates like a bureaucracy. Getting small projects done can sometimes be riddled with setbacks and interruptions because the necessary approvals aren't provided in a timely fashion."

"When promoting internal hires to a manager position, where they will be managing others, please provide them with managerial skills training."
