What do you like about working at Sanofi?

"I was essentially fired from this company so anything that I say should be taken with a grain of salt. The things that I liked about this company were:1) They were big and could buy anything they wanted very quickly2) They had lots of people and facilities on campus.3) They would send you to France for training periodically.4) I was grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to work for big pharma."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It depends on the level. The lower level jobs are protected by the union. These might be decent jobs if you can handle being treated like a mushroom. The upper level jobs are very stressful because you never know what is going to happen. If you really want to work there just make your resume look as good as possible and be prepared for the interview. If you are hired you have to be careful what kind of projects you get assigned to. They will fill up your schedule with training and meetings if you give them a chance."

What don't you like about working at Sanofi?

"1) They are located in Canada. I'm sorry but the weather is really terrible and I could never have lived there long term. But that's just me.2) Their bureacracy is UNBELIEVABLE. 90% NINETY PERCENT!!! of my job was figuring out how to get things done within the corporate policy structure. They relentlessly beat even the tiniest speck of initiative out of their employees.3) The Canadian management is well meaning but they have almost no power and the French management (that runs the show) seems to be dedicated to preserving jobs in France at all costs. Scientist level turn-over is very high in Canada."

"Push real authority down to the lower levels. Micromanagement is killing your company."

What do you like about working at Sanofi?

"I loved everything. I loved selling and being able to know that I was helping someone with getting the right medication so they can feel better quickly. it was not a easy job... Very demanding at times."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"yeah if u think the company owes u benefits a good salary and car. Then get the he'll out. This is a benefit. It should remain as a benefit cause not many companies offer it. They spend millions on researching to find cures to better health and lifestyle. There are prescription programs for people who can't afford medications. It's not the best system but it's better then having no choice and giving what the government decides what you can get. It's too difficult to choose one drug for everyone. We all need choices cause one drug my work on u but not ur spouse. The goal is always the same to get the patient feeling better. if you believe passionately about discussing why nasacort aq can help patients relieve there allergies. This is a job. If you think we go around giving food to offices and do very little. Join a union. This is a business."

What don't you like about working at Sanofi?

"very nervous around certain managers. Felt afraid to be me. they put me down sometimes and nothing was ever good enough. they played favorites... Sometimes I was afraid that I didn't deserve to be there cause it was such a priviledge. I didn't have a if league degree and I'm no beauty queen. So at times I felt embarrass to say I went to twu. It seemed that's all people talked about what school they went too."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"please be nice If possible. I know it can be tough cause you have to answer to your boss also. But some of us are so glad we have a nice job we like we are so scared they if we do a bad job we will be fired. Sometimes there are people who get promoted and they just copy what others do. It's not bad to share ideas. sometimes I would have ideas and someone else would take em. They would give that person the credit for it."

Senior Validation Engineer

"Longest place that I was employed and enjoyed a lot since I got involved from the initial stage of their consent decree to the point that the whole organization turned around to a high standard to adhere to the FDA regulations and industry practices."
