"Catering Sales Coordinators are expected to attend their events and act as supervisors, which is exciting to some coordinators but not others (I enjoyed this aspect of the job)."

"There was really not much to complain about, except the lack of a 401(k)retirement plan."

"Learned a lot about my job during training and the training never stopped, was encouraged to get involve with giving ideas. Getting feedback on your work performanance before your yearly review."

"No moneyI was denied funding and assistantships based on personal preferences as opposed to actual qualifications and work ethic. I had the Department Head get upset with me because I got funding from the Dean that she had asked for and wanted."

"Rather than competing with someone that does better research try to work with them and understand why they work the way they do."
"Depending on which department you work, could be a good place to work."

"Lots of friendly co-workers, but be careful who you confide in."

"Very high job turnover rate in home healthcare. Everyone I knew who left to another department were glad they did."
What don't you like about working at University of Michigan?
"Just from the Home Healthcare perspective. Management is out of touch with employee concerns. People being treated unequally. Harrassment and Discrimination are evident."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Part of the problem is the management. In all my professional career, I have never worked for a more crooked and corrupt business. Perhaps with new management that can weed out the bad apples in supervisory positions, I'd go back."
