"Old School sales education (Wonderful experience - learned all I needed to know in 1 year... Making much much more at a better job now)- with an old school beating to go along with it. No one is spared."

What do you like about working at ZEP Superior Solutions?

"Excellent experience. Where else can you make a couple thousand cold calls on all kinds of industries and levels of an organization. If you work hard, you just about have to kill someone to get fired. I never managed to get fired in spite of my est efforts. I had to quit."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are looking for a place that will recognize your potential, hard work, and ability to grow with a financial reward this is not it. Political skills were more important leading to a meager but more survivable path through entry level management. They lied to everyone about reasonable compensation expectations. No other way to get someone to come about. The truth is outrageous."

What don't you like about working at ZEP Superior Solutions?

"Management is just dumb. The worst sales people with political bents ended up in management. Upper management rotates out every couple of years with the flavor of the month. Currently undergoing a shrink themselves to greatness routine and a Direct distribution will be wonderful and not crowded."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Should have found a way to attract and retain the best. Turn over was in a class by itself abysmal. Obvious to me that retaining a few - like me - was in their best interest. Highest performers forced to starve for years. The 2 years I was there I grew as fast as anyone in the South East region. I still could not eat. Best sales people run higher expenses because of high activity - should have sat back and gotten a second job and grown slower. Do I sound bitter, LOL I am!"
