"NBC Universal is a part of a much larger company and as such, might not be able to do the risks needed to produce "new" and fresh content, but, regardless of that as a measure, the working space was good"
"I have work for the company for approximately twelve years, and it has provided me with tremendous professional growth. It is a great company."
"I started working at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2018 and have been lucky to be exposed to many exciting projects. I feel there are many parts of the business you can get exposed to outside of just the one you are in which is great. It's been tough to figure out a career path forward when working there, especially after a recent reorganization."
"I worked for NBC Universal in 2019 as a hired contractor. I reported directly to the Vice President of technology. I worked closely with construction, design, and IT teams to help build NBC Universal and Telemundo buildings across Southwest America. This was a fast-paced position that required a high attention to detail and logistics and management skills."
"This was my own company, so it would not be applicable"
"A company with great people. The environment is fun with a good balance between work and life. However, it is extremely difficult to grow with no career development opportunities. It is political. You have to know people or just know how to talk the talk. Job responsibilities don't align with job descriptions and what you were hired to do."
"I have been a full time employee for over 7 years. The company tries its best to obtain feedback from its employees in order to create the best and most efficient workplace. However, like most large companies, progress takes time and change can be slow. Overall, good place to work but this is more dependent on your individual team."
"Trusted with ownership & accountability, ability to mold my role/team. Open communication management style."
"I've only worked for NBC. I think there is a lot of positives about the company but there is a big learning curve."
"Set higher goals for yourself because this place is not healthy. The new General Manager is not well liked and he has laid off quality employees. He is on a mission since he got a demotion to come to Burlington. Bad morale all around. Managers are yes men because they are afraid of losing their jobs before the move to Needham in 2019. They could personally care less about the staff they are managing Phonies. Everyone is running on eggshells."
"Horrible place to work, I've never seen so much discrimination and machoism in a work place. They don't care at all about their people, no matter how much money you make them. I've never seen a lazier bunch of people either, I think that's how they stay there though, anyone that made a complaint would get terminated rather than the ones who discriminated."
"I worked in the Network Operations Center under the supervision of Bruce O'Neill and Dave Fascino. I found it was a healthy teamwork environment, and Bruce and Dave are very reasonable, knowledgeable, practical, involved supervisors. It was a good environment to learn the skills and characteristics of the job. For a young adult without a college degree this was a very good job."
"Overall a good company to work for. They spend money and time on their resources and tools."
"NBC was a great experience for me as a contractor. My only problem is that you can only be a full time contractor for a year. Other than that it was a great place to work with, a great group of professionals. They like to promote from within, which I think is a good thing. Even though I was a contractor, it never felt like it."
"I was lucky enough to work at company for 14 years. I survived two mergers but not the last."
