"Great benefits but needs to work on employee equality"
"Great company to work for. I have been employed by American Airlines for over 5 years. In my office, the closeness and the professional friendship create an enjoyable place to work and grow. Currently everyone enjoy working here and there is a lot of room for growth and opportunity to get promoted to a higher position."
"Pay is not always the best, but there are so many opportunities to grow in the airline industry. Overall, I absolutely love it."
"I spent last summer at this company and I worked on a machine learning problem, however I felt that I was working at a legacy company where the pace of change was very slow and all the methods for solving problems were either outdated or inefficient!"
"Nice company to work for."
"Great place to work with tons of opportunities to acquire new skills"
"I've worked as a contractor since 2013. They provide an enormous amount of benefits, including paid flights and vacations, as well as health, dental, life insurances and other discounts with other companies; however, as a contractor you are only provided with the benefits from the contracting company, not American's."
"I started working for US Airways, before the merge with AA. AA is a strong company with good ethical values and retention of employees. Only thing is you need to negotiate well before joining. Once you join there is not much scope for fast growth. Overall a good company, and as with every company it all depends on which team you work with. I have been fortunate to work with a good team."
"I enjoyed working for American Airlines. The feeling of knowing I was a part to such a great company was incredible."
"Good to start your career, work and life balance, mostly stable but depends on the team you are working."
"It's a great company to work for."
"Best job a man can get. Most rewarding."
"Great people that are underpaid due to the company implying that your flight benefits are part of your salary."
"I've worked for US Airways since 2007 and the network department has changed drastically. We took over from EDS and completely in-sourced all network aspects. Recently due to merger there have been major changes that are seemingly for the worse and it no longer seems to be a great place to work for the time being."
