"I liked the technology at the development center in Munich and Steyr, I liked the poducts and the innovation, the uncompromising focus on developingthe ultimate driving machine."

"Working at the BMW plant was like beng in the wild west where people were tryig to place their stake in the ground and claim a piece of land. Be prepared to carve out your own nitch!"
What don't you like about working at BMW?
"Being American in a German company, the Germans brought over the ce managment team and it canged every several years. The americans that made it to management seemed to be the flunkies stooges) that were willing to sell out their colleagues to get ahead. There seemed to be little interest by the Germans to develop technical leaders from the American pool of workers."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"If you are going to be best in class in a nn-German plant then you must develop the local talent and acept them into your company!"

"I worked a graveyard shift at the BMW plant and sleeping during the daytime was not compatible wiht me internal clock."

"BMW adopted advanced techniques and applied the theories of Just-in-Time and Total Quality Management, therefore; there were hardly any suggestions to have besides continuous improvement and adoption of the proven benchmarked processes."
