"I worked at Gulfstream Aerospace since 1988 and it was a great company to work for. Great benefits and pay. Great people to work with."
"Good company with good people and cool product."
"Reliable and a stalwart in the industry, but slow to change and unaware of the shifting patterns in culture and personnel. Difficult to make connections but great work/life balance. Don't expect a rapid rise to the top; it takes a long time to learn even the most basic things."
"If you don't work at their HQ in Savannah, you can forget about getting any sort of promotion within a reasonable time frame. Additionally they suffer from being a Good Old Boys club rather than allowing engineers to actually argue the merits of a proposed plan."
"Excellent place to work at. Highly recommend to my friends. Great people and friendly."
"Excellent company to work for. The work life balance is amazing."
"Very good company, but if you looking to grow up as an individual have to look for something else"
"Good benefits, it is a good company that allows you to have a balance between work and family."
"Good benefits and balance between family and work."
"I was the envy of many when I won the lottery and was offered employment at Gulfstream in Savannah, Georgia. Gulfstream is considered to be one of the best employers in Savannah for pay and benefits. While this may be true, I have now seen behind the curtain. The pay and benefits are not nearly enough to compensate for the culture present: it's a good old boys network that is stuck in a time warp. I felt like I was in prison. Every member of the Leadership Team is a white male over 50 ... think about that and add in a male dominated misogynistic atmosphere with the most outdated office technology ever. Regardless of the propaganda, the quality of life and life/work balance is simply not there. The actual culture behind the gates is one of stress, fear and intimidation. You can make a great career here if you're willing to accept difference rules for different classes, willing to sacrifice your health and family and willing to keep your head down and do as your told without question."
"Very large company with many opportunities for advancements, however it depends on the individual. The work load is never too demanding. However, you must keep in mind this is a very large company and you're just a number."
"Thankfully, I have left this company and found a MUCH better place to work, live and have a great quality of life. Working at Gulfstream in Savannah, GA was the worst time in my life. It almost destroyed me."
"It is a very depressing place to work."
"I worked for Gulfstream for 7 years and leaving was the best thing I ever did. I miss most of my co-workers but I do not miss the politics, nepotism, sexism, HR incompetence, nor very poor middle management. Upper management may be good but who knows They are the elite and don't have a clue about what it is like to work for losers. There are many VPs who are substandard. Best advice to men - go golfing with your boss. Best advice to women - sleep with your boss. Best way to get ahead!"
"A great company. That is why I have worked there 5 times.Good people and good training with a productive atmosphere.Everything was great."
