Field Services Leader
in Wetumpka, AL

What do you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"It was a good experience working with an international company. I had a chance to get training in Six Sigma and received my Green Belt certification."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would let them know that Honeywell sees employees as a commodity. Employees should make a company money, but a large company like Honeywell should provide training and better leadership to management when they are put into positions that they are moved to without any experience in that position. Make sure the position they are hiring you for is the position and responsibilities they are going to have you performing. Ask lots of questions about what they expect of you and if the position they are putting you in is a long-term job. Think hard if you are thinking about leaving a job with longevity."

What don't you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"I was hired as a field service leader and the very first day was put in the position as branch manager. I was not allowed enough time to learn the operation of the company. I was laid off due to reduction in work force after leaving a seventeen year job. For a large company you would think a company would have more than a 12-month foresight of their company finances and not hire a person out of guess work on position needs, especially out of a 17-year position."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should have a longer view of each branch financial needs as far as expenses. They should give an employee more time to adjust to positions in management. If they need branch managers, they should hire branch managers and not bring personnel in as field service leaders and put them in positions they are trained to handle. Allow someone at least two years to train and adjust to a management position. If you are looking for a job that is stable you may want to look elsewhere. You may have to relocate to keep your job."
