"When bargaining your salary -- aim high. Raises and promotions are far and few between -- and once you're on board, they make you feel you're lucky to have what you're getting."

"Annual bonuses and cash awards became fewer and lesser, although performance improved and skill-sets grew. Some days you really didn't feel appreciated for being a team player and a top performer. The LEAN initiative managed to trim away some of our brightest people, leaving the dead wood - not the other way around."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Go back to the Lou Gerstner business model. Lou understood that IBM was all about its PEOPLE RESOURCES, not just job-cost."
