"I have worked at Raytheon for a couple of years. I think the experience considerably varies from position to position, but overall it is a good experience. Most of the individuals that I work with are very knowledgeable and are great to work with. It can be tough to be promoted within the company."
"Strong company, poor management and poor culture. No team environment and total lack of communication. Outdated systems and total lack of tools to perform the job."
"Great place for entry level IT/Cybersecurity personnel. Competitive pay, multiple locations, and excellent benefits. Opportunities to grow within the company and also supports education, military, disabled, and very diverse"
"The best electrical company on the planet."
"I worked for Raytheon for 4 years and greatly enjoyed my time there. It's a fast-paced environment that requires precision decision making and mistake-proof worth but overall is pretty satisfying to see the fruits your labor performs. With a strong-union presence on the manufacturing floor, it's important to be able to work with a variety of personalities."
"I've worked for Raytheon Missile Systems since 2017 and since that time period, have completed many projects with various teams in the missile defense industry. This company is a bleeding edge industry leader in target detection/tracking as it pertains to radar systems; working with this company will not only give you meaningful work which excites you to show-up every single day, but it will also boosts your standing in the community of engineering."
"Raytheon Missile Systems creates high quality products. If you’d like to contribute and see how mission-critical products are designed at the highest level, then seek working at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ."
"Raytheon was an excellent company to work for. As the Program Manager of SW development for the FMS version of AMRAAM it allowed me to work with a diverse group of individuals – from internal SW IPT team members, the USG customer, to our foreign customers. I was able too involve our international customers in the end testing of our product on a test range at the Arctic Circle in Northern Sweden. These events took up to 4 years of planning from test range contract establishment, selection and scheduling of the foreign customer’s air force at test plan working group meetings (deployed aircraft and support crews), to USG approved export of the required test assets. This was the most enjoyable aspect of my job. Working for Raytheon allowed me to have these experiences with over 31 missile launches over a 16 year period!"
"Nice place to work, interesting projects"
"No review, no comment at all."
"Large company with large company issues when it come to communication. Decent compensation, hard to move up."
"I've been with Raytheon for 9 years and have always enjoyed their work/life balance, 9/80 schedule (every other Friday is off), and breadth of work."
"I have worked for Raytheon for almost 15 years, but don't have any experience with other companies to compare to. Like any company they have pros and cons."
"Raytheon is a very good company for a new professional starting out. There are a great deal of resources and a wealth of knowledge there. To set yourself apart as an innovator can be difficult, though. It is a large company with a lot of red tape and bureaucracy. The compensation there is good especially considering the lower cost of living in Tucson."
"I have been working for Raytheon Missile Systems since 2007. Raytheon has been a great place to work. Everyday is spent brushing shoulders with some of the best and smartest people in the work force. I really appreciate the respect they have shown for work-life balance."
