"They do not pay very well, but it is a secure place to work and there are lots of health benefits. The toughest part is the pay: living in Los Angeles is more expensive than what you earn."

"They do not allow much freedom. I have a plethora of skills and interests, but they are often stymied or not used in my current position."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I'm much for focused on encouraging people to work harder and accept more responsibility. I feel that hard work is not encouraged, and that doing extra work or working in other departments is discouraged."

"My only suggestion is for them to keep doing what they do. And continue to value and empower their employees"

"ucla is a great place to work if you want alot of freedom, great benefits, great people and flexibility. if you want to make money, dont work at ucla."

"I dont like working in the lab by myself and would rather spend time being around people."

"Lack of communications among the team members, and short notice for doing a new project."

"dont work for the medical center, they only care about money"

"hostile management, unhappy workers, incompetent leadership, penny pinching in all the wrong areas, don't care about employees."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire managers that had direct experience in the areas they managed and give them the time to manage their people rather than giving them extra work on top of managing. Stop cutting costs to save money, only to realize that cheap products don't add value. Eliminate competitiveness and back stabbing within the organization, replaced by teamwork."

"Rigid script/ask level structure, desired more freedom in gauging the prospect and their individual circumstance."

"Modify script/ask level structure to seem more natural and allow caller to judge prospect situation while still maintaining fundraising goals"

"Be real. Be honest, focus on what you can offer UCLA Extension's students, and suggest program expansion and marketing strategies for your courses."

"Parking in Westwood. Part timers do not get to participate in the UC defined benefit retirement plan"
