"I worked for Alsco Linen (Uniforms is a joke), for 15+ years. They used to be a great company to work for. However, when the VP of Operations and Director of Sales & Marketing retired a couple of years ago, things got really bad. The team they have now in that corporate office have no idea what they are doing. The CFO is running the show and is trying too hard to be like Alsco's competitors. The leaders over Sales have never sold a day in their life. They have put people in charge who have no management skills whatsoever. They pay everyone differently and people with more responsibility, tenure and experience get paid less than everyone else? It is a very toxic culture at Alsco. I don't understand it at all."
"I've had to write this so many times before..... anyway. As a company and how it is ran..... not so great. The pay and benefits, fantastic for someone without other valuable skills or opportunities. Of course, those amazing benefits were mainly because of being part of a union, that the company actively worked against. A lot of bad with some good. Vast majority of employees I knew stayed until they retired or got injured. Sad thing is; it was still the best "real" job I've had. Yeah, there was terrible management (not all of them, but too much for comfort) and rampant abuse, but at least the compensation was a living wage. More than I can say for most jobs I've had."
"Love the job, however, the communication and lack of training need improvement"
"Weekends off. Pretty good insurance. Managers are reactive not proactive. Enjoyed meeting and seeing my customers on my route. Many have turned in to friends."
