Working at Aureus Medical Group in Idaho Falls, ID: 1 Employee Reviews

Aureus Medical Group Employee

"My recruiter at the beginning she was very nice, slow at getting back to me but she was fine. I was thrown into my first ever travel job in Victorville, complete nightmare of a place. The first 3 days I had zero access to their computer or Pyxis and the nurse manager and charge nurse are asking me why I didn’t take care of this and questioning why I’m taking so long to get access. The first 4 days into the job the nurse director is threatening me to take a ‘call.’ I was hired by an interim director whom told me I would only take call 2 times a month… she wanted me to do it 3 times that week. I told my recruiter everything she was slow to respond to me and told me to just ‘hang in there.’ I was stuck at this job hours over my shifts and by myself in PACU. I would get harassed and berated along with a couple other PACU coworkers, pretty much every day by the nursing director, about who would take call for that night and about staffing issues, and forced into taking call with scare tactics and yelling. My recruiter again was slow getting back to me, long story short she ends up being sick and then needing surgery for gallstones. Worse thing was seeing she would read my messages and I wouldnt get a response back. So here I am in this miserable hole with zero guidance because my recruiter is sick and I reach out to other Aureus staff members who don’t respond back to me. Eventually I quit a week before my supposed date, because there would only be 2 PACU nurses (me included) for 20+ In a 4 bed PACU unit….Patients including add on surgeries for that next day, this would mean no breaks no lunch, working straight through the shift and possibly having to stay over my shift if there’s add ons. I failed to mention that If the on call person calls in on that shift and you’re the one staying left over they will try to make you stay. My recruiter ended up blocking me and I never received my bonus she promised or got paid for online training. RUN!"
