"Let employees work how they work best without needless micromanagement."

"There were a large variety of very challenging jobs available."

"The interview process at Boeing is lengthy and complicated. Just keep trying and be yourself."

"There wasn't anything that I disliked. it was a great place to work."

"The managers at Boeing were motivated and did a great job. I don't have any suggestions for them."

"I liked the medical insurance, the 401k, the experience of working at a big company. In many ways I felt employees were treated fairly."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"My advice is if you are offered a job, ask for more money. It's my understanding the job offers are negotiable. But before that I'd say ask about the program you'll be working on. Specifically ask about the health of the program, if it's a government contract and approximately how long the job will last."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"I felt there was no growth opportunity for me. Management tried to move me up but HR wouldn't allow it because I was still in school at the time and not done with school."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The managers needed to be more realistic about the groups/projects they were managing. I would suggest managers needed to be more accountable for their groups. Too many times managers would lie to each other about what their groups could do and what they have accomplished. It was like they were playing a mixture of chicken and the blame game. Nobody would take responsibility for missed schedules. It was very frustrating to us worker bees."

What do you like about working at Boeing?

"Has great potential in the field and gives employer the chance to get a carrier."

"Present yourself with all your credentials and training, and you will have an interview if the needs are met."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"The process is a bit fast for having so many new hires."

"Get more support for the floor (we are understaffed)."

"Enjoyed installing, repairing, refreshing the PC Windows 7 computers and network laser printers at the Boeing sites."

"Be honest and do not use fancy terminology when applying."

"Could not find anything I would not like about working for RMS at Boeing."

"They are doing a very good job at coordinating the computer refresh effort."

"I was hired to work on GPS III, it never came and ended up working comm. area."

"I was hired to work on GPS III satellite effort in 2001. The effort was delayed and lost by Boeing to Lockheed Martin in 2008. I had to move into military communication systems area, which required considerable effort on my part to acquire both the knowledge to work in a technical area I had very little previous experience."

"Avoid going for what few positions are available at the Boeing Huntington Beach operation."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"Thet group at the Huntington Beach operation who made the transition from Ford Aeronutronics, thru Loral Aeronutronic sent en masse to Rockwell International which was taken over by Boeing. Members of that group had no background in military communication area and screwed up the FAB-T and JTRS-GMR military communication systems effort. Most of them are still there and the US tax payer has lost billions of dollars as a result."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of the project manager and line managers from Ford Aeronutronics that had a significant hand in the screw-up of the FAB-T and JTRS-GMR efforts."

What do you like about working at Boeing?

"I believe in the products that the company makes; good work-life balance."

"Understand the company culture and be willing to relocate to climb up the corporate ladder."

"Unwilling to change and embrace new ways of doing business; outdated; too many yes-men."

"Find ways to develop and retain new employees; bring innovation to workplace, not just to the products."

"Enforce them to apply all their experience and problem solutions to this great company."

"About more communications between production people and others departments, work on solution problems as teamwork."

"Interaction between different departments on problems, solutions and work as teamwork, knowledge about their responsibilities."

"Be honest. Boeing is willing to teach. If you don't have a skill they want, be willing to learn it."

"There is nothing I don't like about Boeing. I wish they had a larger presence in Nevada."

"I've got great management. Many attributes for fairness and equal opportunities."

"Take advantage of the educational opportunities and savings plans and networking opportunities."

"It's difficult being driven by the cuts to the government defense budget."

"Get closer to the workforce to get a clearer picture of what is really going on."

"I enjoyed working with people on the C-17 Program. I enjoyed the great benefits offered by Boeing."

"Be prepared for a panel interview and take notes. They will ask you questions randomly selected by computer. They will in the form of: Tell me a time when you, What do you do, What was the result."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"I didn't like the annual review process. The reviews should occur at least quarterly so that the employee can make course corrects or update annual goals during the year."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Provide opportunities for employees to develop job skills. Give them challenging assignments, send them to seminars and conferences."

What do you like about working at Boeing?

"The customer service was awesome. They respect the members just like everyone else should."

"Focus on the service, respect for members, - slow pace to work, good compensation."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"I learn that the only way I can introduce them to the sales culture, I have to integrate myself on the service first."

"They need to continue training at all levels - if they want to become more competitive"

"If possible, find others that already work there in similar positions that you are applying for, and get their take on what it's like to work there."

"Lots of overtime, weekends, holidays, after regular shift hours, on call. They preach a work/life balance, then don't practice it."

"Enforce what you preach. Don't just make up policies and expect them to be followed."
