"get a mentor! then work with your leader on professional development...they will not do it unless forced."

"less holidays for employees, want more work hours and expect alot from employees"

"hire people who have experience not just education and pay them faily"

"project states are woefully outdated.previous teams were less than knowledgeable."

"I have absolutely no idea, redesign the web portal, for a start."

"I love the student contact. I actually think we have the best online education available; good product, proud to be selling it Pay is good; benefits are decent."

"Run for hills. Do not take this job unless you are destitute That's how we all got here."

What don't you like about working at Career Education?

"Using a computer system to define my day. There are no changes allowed to schedule, and all absences are counted as unexcused. We can use our sick time for receiving wage compensation but we still are dinged for having an unexcused absence. We're graded on our adherence to the computer schedule and our students can suffer from this."

"Loose the metrics Let us do our jobs without a computer system guiding our day down the minute."

"Some staff and of course the best is the children"

"Know that you have to be a self-starter and be well organized and be able to do multiple jobs at all times."

"Too chaotic and director is not available. Needs more structure."

"Less micro-managing . And way more structure. At least be there."

"Be open to lots of change and micromanagement; goals are attainable if you are focused and work hard; might require more than 40 hours/week to achieve minimum expectations"

"The style of management and leadership gave the perception that employees could not be trusted; expanding schedules (ie. late evenings and weekends) caused employees and directors to become unhappy and resulted in less productivity."

"Review what made the company successful in their earlier years, be innovative without disrupting the entire flow of business, seek feedback from successful leaders within the organization"
