"Great place to work, IF you have the right manager (WHICH I DID)."
"Catholic Health Initiatives offers expertise, convenience, resources and best-in-class care from a foundation of togetherness. To serve communities better, we’ve grown into the third-largest nonprofit health system in the nation. And we’re not done yet. We currently offer care in 18 states through 101 hospitals and clinics, including three academic health centers and major teaching hospitals as well as 29 critical-access facilities, community health-service organizations, and nursing colleges. We connect agencies, communities and facilities with a goal of bringing everyone the care they need where they need it."
"I worked for Catholic Health Services for a little over 2 years. The company was a little behind in technology so it was hard to get some things done not using traditional methods. The people who work for the company are great but I believe they need to continue to advance in technology and methodologies to thrive."
"The company is great, the people are amazing and the benefits are good as well."
"It's a very good place to work. As an HCL employee, my reporting manager supports me very well."
"St. Luke's was wonderful before CHI bought it. The management is horrible!!! They don't care about their employees or their patients! Do not work here! The pay is good, but you will work your butt off and be completely stressed out. I went to work somewhere else for less pay and I am much happier!"
"3.5 years of ongoing layoffs and counting and bleeding red ink. C-level management isn't willing to make the necessary changes to actually achieve needed results and ongoing conflict between national-level management and regional operations. Throw in PC nuttiness (can't refer to "bullet points" in presentations because of the violent connotations) and you end up with a toxic sludge of ineptitude and counterproductive culture."
"I found the experience rewarding supporting the hard working medical staff as part of my assignment. They understand the new software and seem excited in learning it."
"There is a constant issue with direction and understanding of actual company goals. Leadership can be all over the place with decision make when they actually do make decisions. Some great people in the organization, but organizationally it can be annoyingly tangled as far as a workplace."
"A large hospital chain that states values that they don't practice, The Management here is more ruthless and petty than any place I've worked. People are promoted for stepping on others and they were all great fans of Obama till we now live with Obamacare and they are all losing their jobs!"
"CHI was a great place to work until they outsourced all of IT to Wipro. Wipro has no troubleshooting skill at all. They have basic administrators that when a ticket is opened contact Microsoft or other software company they have an account with. I was offered a year contract extension if I would report to Wipro. I refused."
"I worked for Catholic Health Initiatives for 2 years. They were a good company and paid well. However, they outsourced their IT department to overseas and laid off their IT workers."
