"f you want your life to be more difficult than it has to be..."

What do you like about working at CCC Information Services?

"There were actually a good number of above average employees with a good sense of humor that I enjoyed working with."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you possess basic (or above average) competence and honesty, don't waste your time."

What don't you like about working at CCC Information Services?

"Unfortunately, there was also rampant incompetence, especially in management. What makes it even worse was that there people who weren't incompetent but can also be described as the enablers of the incompetent. It's amazing how the incompetent couldn't be criticized for their obvious mistakes because their feelings had to be considered, but the feelings of those who have to clean up their mistakes are never considered. If I had to speculate as to why there were always excuses for the incompetent (and why they seem almost immune to getting fired), I'd say it was because so much of the management is incompetent and doesn't wish to feel like hypocrites by firing those who deserve it. It would be way too simple to dismiss this behavior as office politics. There were waves of layoffs and drastic cost cutting measures because of a disaster called DriveLogic and because the executive management wanted to sell the company. Too bad no one else knew to buy more company stock and make anywhere close to the $14 million+ the CEO made when the sale was finalized to Investcorp.I'm not a greedy person, but I have to say the pay was below the market average and yet those who performed above average were somehow expected to keep putting up with this massive lapse of logic. The management only undermined their credibility by expecting this absurd situation to continue."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"For those who lack competence and trustworthiness, they need to resign. They would no longer get in the way of the managers that possess superior competence and trustworthiness."
