"CIT is not bad, but it is being acquired."
"CIT is a wonderful place to work!"
"I have not seen a lot from the company as they acquired my previous bank which they do have a different strategy than my previous bank, they closing some business to make it more efficient."
"I have been an employee of OWB a division of CIT Bank since 2012. OWB was first acquired by CIT Bank in 2015, and has continued to expand its relationship across Southern California. In addition to the 60 branches that OWB has spanning from San Diego to Ventura County, CIT offers services such as equipment financing to lending and consumer services. CIT is a growing company with promising assets and a bright future."
"Good company overall. Good work life balance"
"Overall, it's a good company to work for. It is a large company, so you can expect a decent benefits package and an established set of policies and procedures that are regularly updated by various levels of management, legal, and HR. Due to the structure of the company, there are times when certain decisions and promotions may be delayed, as the decision has to be approved by a number of people within the chain of command. One downside is that, as a lower-level employee, your work is less likely to be recognized or rewarded and more likely to become a positive evaluation of your department managers."
"Poor management skills from the CIO down.Only legacy projects are getting done. There is a Good ole boy network in place that wont/cant make a decision."
"Execs are going in right direction but middle management has no empathy."
What do you like about working at CIT Group?
"The team atmosphere that existed before the bankruptcy, compensation is slightly above average."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Research the management of the department you are interviewing for. If you don't come from the same company as them, don't waste your time. With a complete, top-down management change, there is no longer any loyalty to the rank & file."
What don't you like about working at CIT Group?
"New departmental management has no respect for the people that were faithful through the difficult years and no desire to listen to anyone they did not bring on board themselves."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Look at how the new department heads are compromising the company values and losing the historical knowledge by their contempt for the staff, especially in IT."
