"Commission only. No benefits. No retirement and no vacation. Completely self employment based and though this is nice, not having a regular paycheck is not."

"I was able to really grow the network. During my time with NRT I managed roll-outs to new real estate offices everywhere between Tahoe and Carmel."

"You must have the ability to explain very technical things to CEO's and CFO's in more simplistic ways. If you are unable to do this it will be difficult to get PR's signed off."
What don't you like about working at Coldwell Banker?
"The real estate market fluctuates so when there was a bad quarter our budget was hit hard. This made things difficult and ultimately the end users (agents) were the ones who suffered."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Regionalize the entire Western art of the US into three or four hubs."
What do you like about working at Coldwell Banker?
"The people were great. I worked in a corporate environment with HR, Legal, Accounting all around me. I was able to use my skills to segment departments ensuring privacy and integrity of information on the network."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Know your mail, and know how to tune mail systems of such caliber. Also be spot on with your DR and BC planning (test-test-test)."
What don't you like about working at Coldwell Banker?
"I built the mail system (Exchange) which had approximately 40,000 mailboxes. This required a lot of hardware to run as wanted. I seemed to be the bad guy always wanting to upgrade HW such as the EMC SAN, and the mailbox servers themselves (no mailbox limit at the time)."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Split systems into regions not putting all eggs in one basket if you will. San Ramon was the hub for the western region and really out grew itself."

"Be prepared for extreme pressure on the job at all times."

"Challenging position with lots of pressure and strict goals every day."
