What don't you like about working at Columbia College Chicago?
"When my father was dying all my student evaluations commented on the fact that I was not smiling and seemed sad (and that they should get rid of me because of this). The evaluations came back with those comments circled in red. I had told them that my father only had weeks to live.Like most of the places I teach, there are no specific details on what they want me to teach. No course objectives just teach Optics. This is common at most schools I teach and is part of being an adjunct."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Understand who is teaching what and where. I am in a new class room that is not cleaned and is not set up for labs. I hate to use the term course objectives because often they are written for upper management and not the students, but an overview of what you want for the course would be nice."
