"Very professional firm that treated me very well and did its best to reward me for the hard work I did while I was there."
What do you like about working at Davis & Gilbert?
"Mr. Gilbert was very personal with everyone. Although I was a contract attorney, I was treated as a regular full time employee. The firm definitely had a family atmosphere."

"learning about the IP enforcement strategies for new films, music and all of the products licensed by Viacom."

"Try to have an internal contact or reference otherwise it is very difficult to work at Viacom."
What don't you like about working at Update Legal?
"It made no effort to expose my qualifications to permanent positions. When an assignment ended there was no prior notice. I was notified the night before or early in the morning the work was ended."

"The nature of the matter FCPA and the attorney in charge was very competent and innovative in the way the litigation analysis was handled."

"The project involving a pharmaceutical device infringement allowed me to work and analyze a lot of qualitative and quantitative data. I was familiar w/the nature of the matter that also involved FDA manufacturing regulations."

"The supervising attorneys were not too knowledgeable about the pharmaaceutical process and were not familiar with the technology."

"The diverse financial matters and diverse financial products that were the subject of litigation. It provides a good first hand opportunity to get exposed to the financial industry."

"As a contract attorney their is uncertainty on the hours that one will work because the work depends on the immediacy and length of the litigation or the project that is assigned to you."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To allow attorneys that are willing to work more hours to have more work. The attorney is paid by the hour so the more hours the more she gets paid."

"If its working for my old boss, just be smart and on top of your game. She's a great person to work for."
What don't you like about working at CNA Financial?
"I was a contractor, so my job personnally was not secure. Also, the skill level of people outside the legal group was not always high."
