"I've worked for DSW as a sales associate for 3 years. In my experience, the managers have always been kind and understanding, likewise the other employees have been a joy to work with. The customers are thrilled by the shoe selection and appreciate a DSW employee who can make them feel welcome and help them search for the perfect shoe. The equipment and other shoe-finding resources, such as the registers, inventory devices and ordering sites, are constantly updated and user friendly."

What do you like about working at DSW?

"There's an open-door policy that allows for anonymous communication. Management is very laid back, but challenges it's employees to excel in various fields. Collaboration is highly valued."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Accountability and collaboration are key. It's good to communicate any shortcomings you may feel you have, and the company will bring you right up to speed."

What don't you like about working at DSW?

"Everyone is responsible for everything. It's a collaborative system, which comes in handy at times, but sometimes it feels like I'm picking up a lot of slack for the other associates."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I wouldn't do anything differently. The management team is helpful, knowledgeable, and constructive."

"The bare minimum of pay."

"Make the positions more on a competive base for reason of advancment to move upwars throughout the company."
