"Nice tech company with great people who are smart. Because it was a former Microsoft company the organization is fragmented."

"The Good Ol' Boy Culture is still alive and well in 2009"

What do you like about working at Expedia?

"Was given freedom to work independently"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"As long as you don't mind entering into a culture where people are more focused on doing things their own way instead of the right way...you'll fit right in. Too much political in-fighting.but it that is your thing, Expedia is the place for you!"

What don't you like about working at Expedia?

"Less value was given to an employee's skills, capability and ability to deliver but rather more emphasis is placed on who you know. As long as you were able to secure someone in Sr Mgmt as a regular drinking buddy, your job was/is in jeopardy..especially in IT."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Need to view employees as a company's only appreciating asset. Instead, there are repeated efforts to step over a dollar to pick up a dime at the employee's expense."
