What do you like about working at General Electric?

"It was a great experience to work for such a large company, but one can also get lost very quickly with ideas that cannot get to the proper levels."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I am not aware of anyone at UTC now, so I cannnot respond to this one. I can assume that because UTC is a Fortune 500 company that technical, channel sales and support is paramount."

What don't you like about working at General Electric?

"GE Security is no longer in business and is part of UTC. It seemed to me and most employees that the desire was always to pull revenue from the sister companies and sell."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Now being part of UTC, I assume that the sister companies are now where they should be, though challenges remain with integrating the various UNIX, LINUX and WINDOWS based access control and IP video systems."

"Excellent client base, good travel opportunities. Very structured and predictable."

"Wait six months until the post-sale restructuring is complete."

"Very structured and predictable, prone to selling your company based on the phase of the Moon."

"Too late for that...UTC will have it's own agenda."
