"Working with the union was always counter-productive when completing projects."

"For GM, eliminate the union to improve the poor production working conditions."

"I liked everything that this plant had to offer the employees. I liked the management and UAW leadership. Everyone was a well-oiled unit and worked well together."

"Be yourself. Be honest, upfront, and punctual. Show strong leadership skills and an ability to learn new skills."

"I could not sat anything bad about this company - nothing but good times had by all."

"Address any and all concerns that your managers and employees have in a timely manor."

"If you know what you are talking about, it will show and stand you in good stead, if you do not, you will not end up working for General Motors."

"Honestly I cannot think of anything of relevance."

"Take advantage of the current opportunity the company has, most especially in terms of product design. In other words, build what the customer wants."

"Listen to the people on the floor."

"You can do better than working for this bankrupt arm of the corrupt US government. The damn unions sucked the life out of GM 20 years ago."

"Go to Starbucks or stay home and play video games instead."

"Everything. People are both stupid and arrogant--bad combination."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Euthanasia."

What do you like about working at General Motors?

"It was a great place to work when the pressure of losing your job didn't affect your job. For about 1 1/2 years that played a great deal on everyone's minds at General Motors. Now that I was let go because of downsizing, I feel much better. But for the ones still there at GM, I feel for them, because they are still on an emotional roller coaster ride until Oct 2009, when GM is going to let another 6,100 more white collars go."

"Find another job."

What don't you like about working at General Motors?

"It keeps the yes people there and lets the people who want to do the best job they can do for the company go. I saved GM money every time I looked at a new design for their tooling. Designs were incomplete, could not machine them without added expense, or late changes caused other issues, but GM still decided I was not needed, and they didn't put someone in place to fix that issue. They should have gotten rid of the ones who were not doing their jobs correctly. GM was always good to keep around everything that cost them money."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Just move out of the USA and go to your new big brother--CHINA."

"Do to economic crisis, the company and industry is chaotic at best."

What do you like about working at General Motors?

"I liked having the freedom to develop my team in my own way, and utilizing the skilled trades in an efficient way to handle any production requirements."

What don't you like about working at General Motors?

"I did not like the turmoil."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should act on performance and not who they care most for."

What do you like about working at General Motors?

"I like working 4 days - 10 hour days. It helps out with the family life."

What don't you like about working at General Motors?

"I dislike union politics - it takes a long time to get things done. There is a lot of red tape that has to be removed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They should be communicating to their employees instead of hiding information."
