"Co-workers and peers were extremely nice, friendly, and helpful."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Beware, management is extremely nice but you are pretty much on your own once you are hired. Expect to work an avg of 10-14 hour days and weekends, if working out of your home. Most of the work day is wasted trying to keep up with unnecessary e-mails which avg from about 88 to 125 per day. They are big on technology but technology with out direction equals chaos. Lacked communication for daily work flow from Home Office to remote locations."

What don't you like about working at Golden Empire Mortgage?

"Long hours. Lack of training on handling daily work flow. Lack of training on use of their office systems. Lack of training on short cuts to better access the volumes of Investor Guidelines. Isolated and no support (worked from home)"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire a trainer to concentrate exclusively on new hires. Underwriting manager is stretched too thin to train. Four days in Bakersfield was a waste of time since actual informative training was about fours hours. A print out of work flow and guidelines would come in handy for remote employees"
