"The great thing about being a graduate student is that you have a lot of freedom in how you do the project and how you plan it. The only deadlines are for journal and conference articles. It is very easy to explore new techniques and new areas.However, this freedom comes with a responsibility. In my experience, all this freedom has left me stranded. I cannot get into new areas because I am not being challenged with new requirements. I would rather have a more goal-oriented job."
