"Regarding the reviews about setting you up to fail... especially to those who make PC or AA, I totally disagree. Some sellers make PC or AA by way of an account project, new corporate agreement, or alignment change. They miss goal the following year. They also have 1 or 2 high growth accounts, a ton of bleeders, no real growth plan, and have very little in their pipeline. They set themselves up to fail. Period. Grainger is #1 and outpacing the competition. Great company overall."
"Grainger was a great company to work for, but the better I did the higher my sales goal was; I was competing with myself and there was no where to go but out of the company."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Great place to work on a short term basis. If you are good at selling you will find that you will eventually have to leave. The company will have you competing with yourself and you will have to resign. Grainger continues to ask for higher and higher sales dollars with less and less accounts. They eventually set you up for failure. Especially those that acquire President's Club status!"
