"Hold your head high and tell them what you want and expect from the company."

What don't you like about working at Hampton Inn?

"The manager had 1 special employee that would have great inflouence on him and always got his way of doing things. It was so noticable that the hotel employees would talk about almost all the time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would have the employees specialize on one specific thing and then help when they were done with there job. It's always good to help other people."

What do you like about working at Hampton Inn?

"The environment is professional yet relaxed. I am allowed a lot of creative license with the way I deal with guests and do my ordering and all of that. My bosses have faith in my abilities and they tell me often what a good job I am doing. If a guest comments about me, they make sure they let me know--this is extremely important to me! Every other job I have had, they never let anyone know about a good job; but they would always let you know when you did poorly. They let you know here when you do poorly too, but they definitely tell you all the good stuff too. I love working here!!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Yes---dress professionally and neatly. Answer questions honestly and succinctly. And ABOVE ALL--make sure your application is complete, and all of the information is spelled correctly. We have gotten applications with stuff spilled on them, flagrant misspellings throughout, and blank areas that should not be blank. To me, that's an interview killer before you even get in the door."

What don't you like about working at Hampton Inn?

"The only thing I don't really like is vacation time--not sure if I have any or not. Not that it's that important to me, as I never would go anywhere anyway. LOL"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Not much really--I honestly love the management team here. They are great with all of the employees and they are all very nice and professional also."
