"I have worked for HCTec for just over 4 years now. They are a strong company, one which has morphed in several ways to improve services to their customers while trying to support their contract and FT staff. The downside is that there has been a moderate amount of turnover with recruiters which is concerning from a consultant perspective. Personally, I have had very little interaction with HCTec unless initiated by me (usually due to a concern), their follow up can be slow. Sadly, they do not have any form of reward or recognition platform in place that I am aware of, something I would suggest they try. Outside of these criticisms, they have treated me right and have been a good company to work for with a decent benefits package and a 401k match. Because I am a contractor, the bulk of my experience with this employer was with the company I was contracted to, not HCTech itself. The experience from my contract was without doubt, very rewarding, and fulfilling. I would contract with them again if asked."
"No training; no opportunity to advance. Stressful at times. Took the job because it was the only one I could find & I did it previously for a short time years ago, & quickly remembered why I hated it so back then. You’re expected to be on the phone all the time, no opportunity to research problems at all in order to really help the customers. It’s termed a service desk but operated like a call center. You’re just a low-paid phone monkey, basically."
"Very helpful recruiters, but quite a bit of confusion internally with their management. W-2 employees are not privy to a "bench" policy, which makes your job security and earnings anxiously unstable. They fail to disclose this in the contract, so be sure to ask questions. Overall they are a decent organization, but have plenty of room for improvement."
