What do you like about working at Wesco Distribution?
"I got to work on improving the company and department. My ideas were taken seriously and we implemented a lot of changes. I worked hard and was given a lot of opportunities and experiences that I wouldn't have had at a bigger IT company."

"Be genuine and excited about working hard."
What don't you like about working at Wesco Distribution?
"The forced long hours and had no sympathy for family time and outside life. When you work there, they say that the company becomes your life and they expect you to act as such. Also, it is a place of HUGE office drama and politics."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Realize that it is just a job and people can't give up their entire life for it. Cut down the finger pointing, office drama, and politics. Pay people what they are really worth."

"Be honest. Do not try to impress the interviewer, focus on explaining how you can be contribution to the computer operations in the refinery."

"Work is not so dynamic. Improvements are not made constantly on the infrastructure. Initiates must come from Technical personnel without support from management."

"Communicate more with technical personnel to understand flaws and opportunities in the work place."

"Always promising to allow for growth in technical fields but never allowing the time for technical training."

"Try being honest with your employees. We know you are lying to us."

"As a former employee the job was close to my home and I worked an average of 45 hours per week."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"EDS is made up of very different business units. Do some research and try to find out as much as you can about an organization. Some are better than others and it's critical that you select the right business unit. Remember, your manager controls your career at EDS."
What don't you like about working at Electronic Data Systems?
"Since I was with the company for over 17 years I was impressed at how EDS invested in its people development. In the year 2001 all that changed and training and mentoring programs went out the window to save money. The company is not the same and has little loyalty for its employees. Manager controls employee's career and if you have a bad one you are screwed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get back to your mentoring and training programs and instill employee to employer loyalty again. Playing politics with employees' careers and making things difficult will only harbor bad feelings."

"Nothing."

"Try taking a job pumping gas or washing cars before thinking about going to work at Perot Systems."
What don't you like about working at Perot Systems?
"The fact that the departments at Perot Systems were very, very territorail and that creative thinking outside the box was never appreciated, rewarded or tolerated in any way form or fashion. It was thought of as being insubordinate instead."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop riping off your business partners, your customers and the taxpayers that fund your institution. Stop outsourcing your IT jobs to India and hiring H1B visa workers and hire more American woriers instead."
