"I have worked for Infosys for a year and a half. While getting a job is fairly easy, the client placement process can drag on a bit, which isn't necessarily a bad thing because you still get paid while "on bench." Onboarding with this company was a bit hectic, they only gave me a few days notice to buy a plane ticket to Houston, TX to get my company laptop. The company provided laptop is bare bones, and the only thing I use it for is submitting timesheets. Benefits aren't bad, they match up to 5% pre-tax 401k contributions, and health insurance includes dental/eye. However my two main issues are the salary and culture. Salary should be more for what the contractors put up with, simple enough. But the culture is very strange for a US-citizen. There's nothing wrong with visa-sponsored employees in my opinion, but when they make up > 3/4 of the workspace, it feels weird for the US-citizen contractors."
