3Interactive Data encourages a system that neither rewards hard work nor encourage innovative thinking on all levels. Advancement is used as a reward for longevity and not based on contribution and qualifications. The managers manifest lack of leadership skills, and most do not have the managerial qualifications for the positions they hold. Managers form cliques of yes-men who simply gossip, and wait around for promotions and bonuses while adding no value.
2.5This company has really gone downhill. It's not a good place for current technology workers. Most of their technology is obsolete and their management is clueless about how to address the situation. There customer base mostly remains because they are too entrenched to switch to alternatives (which also aren't much better).
So, the business will probably continue to do OK, but this is not a great career choice for most technology professionals.
