"I was recruited to start a new division for water treatment. Since my expertise is in business development the opportunity should have allowed me to showcase my ability to build the business. I enjoyed the opportunity to start a division from the ground up."

"I would strongly suggest looking at another company as this company is not conducive to a positive career move."
What don't you like about working at International Steel Services?
"unfortunately this family owned business is filled with political pitfalls. The owner and his son did not get along very well and thus have developed a very difficult local environment in which to work. Senior management wants to control everything therefore limiting your capacity to make any kind of a viable contribution to the success of the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I believe management should allow people to do the job that they were hired to do. Management should be done by coaching helping and directing and not by demanding. Management needs to allow their people to express ideas in an open and positive environment. I believe it is unfortunately too late for the management of this company to change its style."
