"The pay and the benefits are good but the experience is NOT worth the money! IF YOU'RE BLACK DO NOT WORK HERE!! and I am being completely serious!! I was only working here for less than 3 months and I was discriminated against, talked to like I was incompetent, and belittled with no support or training. I was verbally compared to old hires in terms of intelligence level and constantly disrespected by email and face-to-face! If you choose to work here as a person of color, that's on you. This company claims they're on board with diversity and inclusion but THEY'RE NOT. You will be A DIVERSITY HIRE like I was. I thought I would've had a great experience working here because my now former boss and colleague were so nice to me my first two weeks..but no, my former boss and the other colleague on our team treated me like TRASH and I was respectful and professional the entire time. The women on my team were White and I'm pretty sure if I was also a white woman, my experience with this company would've been completely different!! I was LITERALLY fired because I was still new and still learning! what true professional do you know fires, someone, after only working at a new company for less than 3 months??? I was told to my face that I was being terminated immediately and escorted from the office like I was a criminal because I WAS NEW AND STILL LEARNING HOW TO DO MY JOB!! I'VE NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME BEFORE!! MY FIRST DAY IN THE OFFICE, MY FORMER BOSS HAD ME SITTING AT A DESK FACING A WALL BY MYSELF WHILE EVERYONE ELSE WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE OFFICE.. HOW DOES THAT MAKE A NEW HIRE FEEL WELCOMED? ESPECIALLY COMING INTO THE OFFICE FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER WORKING FROM HOME FOR MONTHS AND AWAY FROM OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC... Reading this review, you might ask "what's so bad about being placed at a desk facing a wall?", well I will tell you that you pay attention to the small red flags as well the big red flags."
"I’ve worked for Invitation Homes for the last 3 years. I have nothing but great things to say about this company. They’ve given me the tools to grow into the person I am today. A true family environment and a company who cares about their employees. At Invitation, it’s not a work/life balance. It’s the opposite, a Life/Work balance. If you get the chance, do not pass up working there."
"Invitation homes is just an ok place to work at. I enjoyed my time here but i dont see a lot of room to advance or move up. A lot of the times they promise you new positions but then never get around to actually implementing them. I would recommend working here on about a 6/10 scale"
"I worked at my company for over eight years I’ve been doing budgets for pre-acquisition homes before that I’ve had my own business my own concrete and framing business building anything for single-family residence to podium/Apartments. Built multi family and very proud of what I’ve done"
"Great company but needs to pay more for the amount of hours and work"
"I have worked for Invitation Homes since September 2018. The company offers excellent benefits and a fun environment. However, it lacks adequate training and flexibility with schedules or working remotely. There has been a lot of transition since our merger and have seen many employees leave, high turnover rate."
