Responsible for management of the Waste Services Team including execution of waste profiling and waste order management processes and maintenance of related cost structures. Role requires serving and communicating with internal and external customers. Reports to Chief Commercial Officer

  • Review Material Profiles submitted by sales/customer service to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Review all applicable backup documentation including SDS, Analysis and other information relevant to the proper characterization of the material
  • Provide regulatory review of EPA, DOT and State designations
  • Provide clear and detailed explanation to Customer Service and Sales as to what is needed to obtain the approval
  • Approve or reject materials for the appropriate TSDF(s) or Transportation 10-Day locations
  • Respond to Sales and Customer Service inquiries related to pre-approval information (ie. Processing Methods for initial pricing)
  • Work to approve materials within the Company’s turnaround time agreements
  • Ensure waste material is acceptable within limitations of Part B permit and if not acceptable at requested TSDF, actively seek alternative option(s) with assistance of Materials Management
  • Ensure approval of an inbound profile is not finalized without having an approved outbound profile
  • Once all applicable pre-approval tasks are completed and/or satisfied, approves profile in appropriate operating system.
  • Add pertinent handling requirements to profile operational notes. (SBU, do not pump, weigh, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in the environmental waste industry.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience of technically oriented teams.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of related regulatory frameworks, including DOT, EPA, TCEQ and other related regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge and experience in hazardous and non-hazardous waste profiling.
  • Knowledge on proper methods for packaging, handling hazardous materials and wastes, including proper segregation of hazardous materials.
  • Solutions oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage communication across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Desire to serve both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to mentor and lead a team to success.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with high volume of email communications
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft office suite and waste service software platforms.
  • Able to mentor and lead a team for success
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related fields, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • 3 or more years of Environmental industry experience
  • 3 or more years profiling waste experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry or Engineering Preferred
