Job Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you will be the primary leader for construction projects, providing leadership and serving as a liaison between project team members. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, coordinating, implementing, and managing all facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to quality and regulatory standards.
- Leading and collaborating on pre-construction RFP packages.
- Developing and managing the budget and resource allocation for all projects.
- Ensuring that all project documentation is filed and current.
- Conducting project meetings, including critical milestones and monthly client reports.
- Establishing job processes, approving pay applications, and negotiating subcontractor change orders.
- Generating project scheduling, ensuring project control and overall project logistics are addressed.
- Identifying and resolving potential obstacles or risks to the project, and providing timely communication to all involved.
- Managing the closeout process to ensure timely occupancy.
- Establishing and maintaining client relationships to stay current on potential needs and opportunities for continued partnerships.
- Supervising all team roles assigned to the project, collaborating with the site superintendent to address any concerns related to the job site operations.
- Performing related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction and working with a general contractor.
- Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership in decision-making and establishing and maintaining relationships.
- Mastery in reading, interpreting, and updating construction-related drawings for projects.
- Ability to organize necessary resources (people, tools, time, budget) to meet deadlines and achieve results.
- Proficiency in project-specific software: ProCore, Bluebeam, Adobe, CMiC, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret data and information and communicate insights and actions needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year degree from an accredited university within the construction, engineering, or business concentrations.
- Previous experience on commercial job sites.
