SUMMARY:

The Route Truck Driveris responsible for delivering and picking up parts and equipment for the dealership with a company-provided vehicle.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday / Part-time: 6:00am - 3:00pm / up to 27 hours per week
  • Location: 1170 Garfield Ave, Suite 5, Lancaster, PA 17602

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurability standards.
  • Commerical Driver's License; required Class A (preferred)
  • Must be able to drive across county and state lines
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred
  • Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Check with the Parts Manager, Wholesale Representative, Inventory Control Administrator, or Shipping and Receiving Clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Verify parts on paperwork match delivery and pick up.
  • Keep an accurate log book per DOT rules and regulations
  • Keep an accurate log of all mileages and fuel stops per DOT rules and regulations for state fuel tax purposes
  • Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
  • Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling fuel / DEF tank, checking oil / coolant, keeping interior and exterior clean, and making sure required inspections are performed daily.
  • Advise Parts Manager if truck is in need of repairs and maintenance.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Maintain professional appearance.
  • Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment
