SUMMARY:
The Route Truck Driveris responsible for delivering and picking up parts and equipment for the dealership with a company-provided vehicle.
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday / Part-time: 6:00am - 3:00pm / up to 27 hours per week

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurability standards.
- Commerical Driver's License; required Class A (preferred)
- Must be able to drive across county and state lines
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred
- Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
- Check with the Parts Manager, Wholesale Representative, Inventory Control Administrator, or Shipping and Receiving Clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
- Verify parts on paperwork match delivery and pick up.
- Keep an accurate log book per DOT rules and regulations
- Keep an accurate log of all mileages and fuel stops per DOT rules and regulations for state fuel tax purposes
- Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
- Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling fuel / DEF tank, checking oil / coolant, keeping interior and exterior clean, and making sure required inspections are performed daily.
- Advise Parts Manager if truck is in need of repairs and maintenance.
- Work in a team environment.
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment
