Pharmacy Technician - Part Time

As a part time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician at Del Amo Hospital,you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; and keeping track of spreadsheets. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule:This part time, nonexempt position will work 24 hours/week, Monday, Thursday, and Friday, plus at least one weekend every 6 weeks, two holidays each year, and other days on an as needed basis as hours needing to be covered can change.
Starting Pay: $23-$25/hour (based on related work experience)
About the Facility: DelAmo is a private 166-bed behavioral health hospital located in Torrance, California. The hospital offers a wide range of programs that are individually tailored to each patient's needs. Recently recognized by US News & World Report as one of the top 100 hospitals, Del Amo is accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the State of California Department of Health Services.CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. About the Pharmacy:Pharmacy hours are 8:00am-4:30pm daily. The Pharmacy utilizes Health Care Systems (analytics web-based software).
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- At least one year of experience in an outpatient/retail pharmacy setting and basic knowledge of psychiatric medications
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
