Position Notes

Compensation commensurate with education and experience. Position Information

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Seven years related experience in an administrative role reporting directly to upper management.
  • Experience with word processing, database management, spreadsheets, graphics and presentation software, electronic calendar, email and other applications.
  • Experience with keyboarding, composing and editing letters, memoranda and reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent editorial skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with upper management, board members, and on highly confidential matters.
  • Possess the keyboarding skills necessary to perform successfully in this position.
  • Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills as demonstrated by a skills assessment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of managing boards, committees, volunteers.
  • Ability to transcribe dictation.

Position Details

Position Purpose

Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Trustees, works independently performing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative, clerical and event support duties. Provides high-level administrative support; as well as performing a wide variety of highly responsible tasks and confidential work associated with the President’s Office. This individual must possess exceptional organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, independent decision-making skills, a very professional demeanor, proficient in the use of the latest in technology, and has the President’s trust on discretionary matters. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts.
