Description
TASKS OF THE POSITION
• Develop and write general letters, letters of inquiry, letters of support, grant proposals, budget narrative and justifications, and compliance reports that effectively communicate the agency's mission and needs.
• Identify strong industry-relevant data/research to demonstrate the need for the agency's services.
• Maintain a "Grants Calendar" that details deadlines, notes, and any relevant communication with funders that is accessible to all fund development team members for reference.
• Gather relevant statistics, impact evaluation data, and performance indicators to report to funder.
• With the Manager Grants and Compliance, establish a "Program Description/Content Library".
• Assist with campus tours, led by Manager, Grants and Compliance.
• Work cooperatively, and in collaboration, with other departments.
• Meet all assigned deadlines with attention to detail, accuracy, and brand fidelity.
• Demonstrate personal integrity and professional demeanor in accordance with the ethics of the agency.
• Stay informed of current practice developments within the profession, and use educational and training opportunities to ensure continual professional competence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must have a solid understanding of budgets as they relate to grant proposals..
• Must be able to meet occasional quick deadlines as relevant grant opportunities arise.

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with multiple, shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to interact positively in a culturally diverse environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in persuasive and proposal writing preferred.

QUALIFICATION (EDUCATION / TRAINING)
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in communication, English, Marketing or related field or the equivalent in work experience.
Preferred:
• Two year's prior grant writing experience.
