DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • To safely provide scheduled transportation to the residents within the guidelines established by the facility. Pre-heat and cooling the van may be necessary for resident comfort.
  • To pre-check the van before each trip.
  • To assist residents on and off the vehicles from the door of entry and exit.
  • To be in compliance with all government regulations whether rules of the road or OSHA and to be in compliance with facility policies.
  • To maintain the vehicle by advising Activity Director of needed preventive maintenance or needed repairs and to maintain the vehicle log for trips and maintenance. To keep the van clean and safe.
  • Practices safety in the performance of duties and the use of vehicles, fuels, etc.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times and treat all residents with dignity and respect. To continually strive to increase resident’s satisfaction.
  • Must be able to read a map, utilize resources such as a telephone book and be able to write down and follow instructions. Must have adequate communication skills in English to relate to residents, staff, medical staff, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assists in maintaining internal controls of the key system.
  • Assists residents with wall hangings, shelves, clocks, and any concessions given at time of move in. Works with Housekeeping manager to make sure check list is completed by the new resident and is filed for reference at the time of move out.
