Job SummaryResponsible for day to day communications activities for the UNIDOS Center for HSI Community Coordination including website, social media, graphic content, e-mails, newsletters, press releases and promotional materials. Tracks analytics with respect to all web based marketing tools.
- Develops specific marketing campaigns in coordination with the UNIDOS leadership team to raise awareness of UNIDOS and the work of UNIDOS network members. Works closely with the UNIDOS Center Director, UNIDOS Communications Director, and UNIDOS Principal Investigator to develop communication strategies that will be effective and resonate.
- Manages the UNIDOS website, content and real time accuracy of information to include information about UNIDOS, the NSF IUSE:HSI funding program, innovations in STEM education at Hispanic Service Institutions, calendar of events; and links to external websites.
- Manages Social Media accounts. Reviews images prior to submission. Drives engagement, campaigns and topics. Records metrics and communicate to UNIDOS leadership.
- Manages E-Mail communication and dissemination. Works closely with the UNIDOS Center Director, UNIDOS Communications Director, and UNIDOS Principal Investigator on content. Identifies community groups to send relevant e-mail communication. Tracks open and click through rates and communicate to UNIDOS leadership.
- Manages display monitors and graphic software behind content. Refreshes and keeps current as necessary and applicable.
- Manages graphic content used by UNIDOS. Oversees implementation and use of the UNIDOS brand logos. Acts as final editor on graphic content.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media/Public Relations, Communications or appropriate degree and three (3) years of experience in a related field.
- Experience in a communications role specifically within an educational or nonprofit organization.
- Web and graphic design experience using software that it includes but not limited to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
